This Retailer Is Giving Away $300 Gift Cards with Select New iPhone Purchases

If you’re in the market for a new iPhone and you’re a Sam’s Club member, you’ll want to take advantage of a new promotion that could net you a free gift card.

The warehouse membership club is currently giving away $150 or $300 gift cards to buyers who purchase select iPhone devices.

You have options when it comes to the model, since the promotion is available for the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The gift card amount will vary depending on the model you select.

What’s the Catch?

Like with most promotions, there are a few caveats, of course.

For one, you’ll need to buy an iPhone on a qualifying installment agreement and activate your device with wireless service. Currently, Sam’s Club offers carrier-locked iPhone models for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint that qualify for the offer.

While that may sound a lot like a standard carrier contract, if you buy your iPhone and activate it through Sam’s Club, you could receive one of the aforementioned gift cards.

Prices are largely in-line with other offerings. You can get a $150 gift card with the purchase of an iPhone 11 Pro Max, which will run you $36.67 a month. An iPhone XS could be yours for $30 a month — and you’ll get a $300 Sam’s Club gift card.

Sam’s Club notes that some installment requirements will require a down payment, likely based on your credit score. You’ll also be responsible for paying the tax at the time of purchase.

Unlike some offerings, you’ll be able to net the gift card even if you’re a current carrier customer of AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. You can choose to upgrade your current line, add a new one to your plan, or switch to one of those carriers and open a new account.

Of course, you’ll also need to be a Sam’s Club member to take advantage of the deal. That costs an additional annual fee of $45 a year for the standard membership and $100 a year for Sam’s Plus. There are military and student plans available too.
