New Retina Macbook Unboxing Video Leaked

While the new Retina Macbook doesn’t officially release until April 10, someone from a Vietnamese website has allegedly gotten a hold of a brand new model, and is showing it to the world. The site has a long history of previewing Apple products before their official launch dates, famously leaking photos and videos of the iPhone 4 and several iPad models before their releases. This latest video shows the unboxing of a new Retina Macbook, complete with charger and included accessories.

The new 12-inch Retina Macbook is Apple’s thinnest and lightest MacBook yet, perhaps an attempt to bridge the gap between the tablet and laptop markets. Featuring a beautiful 2304 x 1440 display, the MacBook is only 13.1mm thick and weighs only two pounds. An edge to edge keyboard, Force Touch trackpad, new keyboard mechanism (which results in larger keys, less space between keys, and more accurate key presses), and fanless design with silent operation are all features on the new device, keeping Apple fans excited about the release. There has also been plenty of buzz surrounding the included USB Type-C port on the device. The port will handle everything from charging to data transfer to display output (compatible with HDMI and VGA displays).

The unboxing video, although spoken entirely in Vietnamese, gives us a good look at the beautiful and compact design of the device, as well as the USB Type-C port and charger.
