Strange how quickly the days and weeks catch up with us sometimes, right? After all, it was a little less than 2 weeks ago that we’d just reported on how Microsoft’s Word Flow Keyboard would eventually be making its debut on iOS.

Well, Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard is finally here and is available to download from Apple’s App Store here. The Word Flow Keyboard from Microsoft is advertised as being “optimized for iPhone,” however independent testing has confirmed it will work on iPad as well.

Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard comes to the table boasting many unique, one-of-a-kind software enhancements — such as one-handed typing in ‘Arc’ mode, custom themes, and super-fast, Swype-style data entry. Aside from a few game-changing features, however, not much differentiates Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard from the slew of other options currently available in Apple’s App Store.

Although, for its part, Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard delivers a few treats of its own that make it worthy of downloading and giving a shot today. One of these new features, as we mentioned, is Microsoft’s ‘Arc’ mode — which, when active, converts the standard, on-screen keyboard into an ergonomic arc shape. This thereby opens up the possibility of fast and effective, one-handed tying — even on the much larger iPhone Plus handsets.

Anyways,  if you’ve anxiously been anticipating this day, you can now go ahead and get a copy for yourself. And just remember, although the current release is only available in English — to those in the U.S. market, the current release is the full-fledged Word Flow keyboard that we got to experience just a few weeks ago thanks to this video demonstration.

Another really cool feature of Word Flow is the ability to customize background images to make keyboard skins. While Word Flow, by default, includes several exciting, abstract color options to choose from, Microsoft has also enabled the deeper customization of themes with photos saved in the device’s photo library.

Also, much like Swype or SwiftKey for iOS, Microsoft’s Word Flow keyboard allows for super-fast gesture typing — a feature which is also demonstrated in the video above. So give the new keyboard a shot! After all, it could end up becoming your go-to keyboard when typing on iOS, right?
