While the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus have both been a resounding success among iPhone users, rumors suggest that Apple may be returning to the 4-inch size for some of their handsets in 2015.

Sources say that there is a definite possibility that Apple may be releasing three new handsets in the coming year, an iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and an iPhone 6S Mini, a 4-inch handset with a similar design to the iPhone 6, and specifications similar to last year’s iPhone 5S.

If the rumors are true, the iPhone 6S Mini could work as an entry-level replacement for the iPhone 5C, which will reportedly be phased out in 2015, helping Apple to compete against the mid-range Android and Windows phone models. The 6S mini could also target Apple users who still desire a smaller smartphone design – quite a few users feel that the new 6 and 6 Plus are simply too big for their hands.

The release of the 6S and 6S Mini are just rumors at this point. As always, stay tuned to iDrop News for further updates.
