The White House wasn’t supposed to open up its portal for free COVID-19 testing kits until tomorrow; however, the U.S. government has gone ahead and made its official free test kit website available early. 

Those interested in free COVID tests can order them conveniently online from their iPhone, iPad, Mac, (or pretty much anything else with a web browser). 

Important Details

There is one limitation that those seeking free COVID tests should be aware of. Note that residential households in the United States can only order ONE SET of FOUR free at-home tests.

How to Get Free COVID Tests

It’s easy! Follow these simple directions to order your free COVID tests.

  1. Go to COVIDtests.gov for official info, or go straight to special.usps.com/testkits.
  2. Fill out the official form with your contact and shipping information to get your tests. They’ll begin shipping in January.

You may place one order (containing four tests) per household.
