Disney+ has officially launched. And while it normally costs $6.99 per month, some Verizon users may be able to get it for free.

If you aren’t a Verizon customer and you don’t plan to switch, there is a Disney+ free trial that you can sign up for to test out the service before committing.

But if you are a Verizon customer, the company is offering a free year of Disney+ to a certain subset of its customers. Normally, that would cost $69.99. And all you need to do to take advantage of it is to head over to Verizon’s official Disney+ page and sign up.

There is, of course, a caveat and some additional requirements to the deal.

For one, you’ll need to be a subscriber of one of Verizon’s Unlimited plans.

  1. Go Unlimited
  2. Beyond Unlimited
  3. Above Unlimited
  4. Get More Unlimited
  5. Do More Unlimited
  6. Play More Unlimited
  7. Start Unlimited

But you don’t have to be a current Unlimited customer, either. The offer is also available for Verizon users who’d like to switch to an Unlimited plan or customers from other carriers who would like to switch to Verizon.

Unlimited customers who already signed up for Disney+ will also be able to get the free year, even if they’ve already prepaid for a full year of the streaming service.

In these cases, the year will be “paused” until the Verizon free year is over. Once it is, the customer’s regular paid year will resume. It’s a bit confusing, but Verizon said it will email users instructions on how to manage both plans.

It’s also worth noting that you can get a free year of Disney+ if you sign up for Fios or 5G Home internet plans. On the other hand, you won’t be able to get the free year if you’re an existing customer — only new subscribers will be eligible.
