Smartphone users demand great battery life from their devices, but the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop takes that idea to another level entirely.

You see, this “smartphone” packs a ridiculous 18,000mAh battery. Smartphone is in quotations in the previous sentence because it may be more accurate to call this device a large battery with a phone built in, rather than the other way around.

French firm Avenir Telecom, which licenses the Energizer brand, unveiled the P18K Pop this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

And to put 18,000mAh into perspective, let’s take a look at battery life. Avenir says the P18K Pop can last about a week between charges during normal usage. If you want to, say, continuously play videos back-to-back, you can do that for a full 48 hours before it runs out of battery.

Before you start pulling out your wallet, keep in mind that this battery life comes with a pretty big tradeoff. Namely, the device is about 18mm thick. For comparison’s sake, that’s about 3-and-a-half iPhones. So it’s certainly not the most pocketable of devices.

Of course, the battery is the big draw here. The device’s other specifications are pretty much in line with any mid-range Android device.

It packs a 6.2-inch LCD display, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a MediaTek processor. Instead of a sensor notch, the P18K Pop uses a physical pop-out module with two selfie cameras.

As you probably expect from a device with a battery rivaling the size of many modern laptops, the P18K Pop supports fast charging — so you won’t have to wait around for a couple days for the device to juice up. According to Avenir, it takes about eight hours to go from dead to fully charged.

But even if you’d like to trade any semblance of an appealing form factor for more battery life, you may want to hold off. The Verge noted a few issues with the device on display at MWC, ranging from a malfunctioning pop-out camera mechanism to just generally glitchy performance.

When the P18K launches in the summer, it’ll also automatically become the smartphone with the largest battery in the world. It’ll retail for 600 euros (or about $683), but there aren’t plans to release it in the U.S. quite yet.
