Apple announced yesterday that AppleCare+ now covers cracked glass on the back of iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models at a much lower price. The fee was previously $99 for back glass repairs on the iPhone 12, and it has now been reduced to $29. That’s a major reduction!

If you are someone who has cracked any part of your phone before, then you know how expensive repairs can cost. Oftentimes, they’ll tell you that you must replace your whole phone.

If it’s just the backside that you damaged, you might have decided to cover it up with a case instead of spending $99, but now that the price is so low, it might be worth the fix.

So what’s the catch? To qualify for the cheap repair, you must first be covered by AppleCare+ and have an iPhone model no older than the iPhone 12. In addition, there can be no damages besides cracked back glass that would prevent them from replacing the glass.

You can find more detailed information in the updated AppleCare+ terms and conditions.
