Apple Unveils Brilliant MagSafe Chargers, Accessories for iPhone 12

Apple today announced a new series of 15W wireless chargers explicitly designed for the iPhone 12.

These chargers will be released with the MagSafe branding, a popular breakaway charging system Apple originally developed for its MacBook line.

These new chargers connect to a series of magnets inside the iPhone 12’s casing. This allows the phone to charge wirelessly while remaining firmly attached to the charging adapter.

That not only secures the phone and prevents it from falling, but it also ensures the phone is held in the optimal charging position.

These magnets do more than just attach the iPhone 12 to the charger. They can also be used to attach cases and even a leather wallet to hold your credit cards and other forms of identification.

If you already have a Qi wireless charger, no worries as these magnets do not interfere with existing chargers.

Apple is producing two models of its 15W MagSafe wireless charger for the iPhone. The first product is a standard MagSafe charger that holds a single device at a time. But, Apple also is releasing a MagSafe Duo charger that charges both an iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch at the same time.
