After opening a swath of new retail storefronts last year, including its dazzling Dubai mall location, the company announced a spate of next-generation renovations which have taken place at Apple Stores all across the country — including a massive facelift to its San Francisco, California location in the upscale Union Square neighborhood.
This week, the company announced via its website the grand opening of its next major retail store outlet. Currently scheduled to open at 10 am local time on April 7, 2018, Apple’s upcoming Shinjuku retail location is nestled in the heart of a large, Tokyo, Japan department store, specifically the Shinjuku Marui main building.
The opening will usher in Apple’s eighth retail store location in Japan, and follows the company’s previous launch of an exclusive high-end Apple Watch shop within the Shinjuku-based Isetan Department Store.
Here in the United States, meanwhile, Apple announced it will be temporarily shuttering the doors to its Natick, Massachusetts storefront — located within the Natick Mall — New England’s largest up-scale mall, by measure of active tenants.
While these renovations — which will begin on April 22, 2018 — are underway, Apple noted on its website that customers looking to purchase, service or obtain assistance with their products can in the meantime visit apple.com/retail to find the closest alternative Apple Store to their location.
