Amazon India’s Apple Fest Offers Discounts on iPhones, Macs and More

Apple doesn’t put its devices on sale or offer significant discounts on its products. But luckily for consumers, third-party retail outlets sometimes do.

Amazon’s new Apple Fest promotion is one of those times. Starting today and lasting through March 12, the e-retail juggernaut is offering a wide range of discounts and exchange offers for Apple products on its India-based online store. Of course, as GadgetsNow points out, Amazon seems to be listing the price prior to the recent tariff hike on foreign-made smartphones.

Apple’s latest and greatest flagship, the iPhone X, is starting at Rs 81,000 ($1,249.83) for the 64GB model — Rs 8,000 off of the typical Rs 89,000 price point.

The larger 256GB model, on the other hand, starts at Rs 93,999 ($1,450), down from the typical price of Rs 102,000.

Amazon’s Apple Fest sale is also listing the following discounts on other Apple iPhones.

• 64GB iPhone 8: Rs, 54,999 ($848.63)
• 256GB iPhone 8: Rs 69,999 ($1,080.08
• 32GB iPhone 7: Rs 41,999 ($648.04)
• 32GB iPhone 6: Rs 23,999 ($370.30)
• 32GB iPhone 6s: Rs 33,999 ($524.60)
• 32GB iPhone 6 Plus: Rs 38,999 ($601.75)

The Made-in-India iPhone SE is also part of the promotion and will retail for Rs 17,999 ($277.72). That’s a discount of about Rs 8,001. It’s also worth noting that, as a locally made product, the Bengaluru-produced iPhone SE isn’t subject to recent customs duty increases.

It’s not just iPhones that are on sale, either. A 13.3-inch MacBook Air with a Core i5 CPU is retailing for Rs 57,630 ($889.23) — a steep discount of Rs 19,570. Similarly, an Apple MacBook Pro with a core i5 processor and 8GB of RAM will run customers Rs 102,214, down from Rs 109,900.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is also available for Rs 47,118 ($727.03). That slashes about Rs 14,782 off the original price.

The new Apple Watch Series 3 is also available for Rs 30,900 ($476.79), while the now-discontinued Apple Watch Series 2 is available for Rs 26,900 ($416.07).

On a number of these offers, Amazon is also accepting exchanged devices for an even steeper discount. For the iPhone 8, customers can receive a total up to Rs 16,257 off a device — including the previously mentioned sale, and depending on the value of the device exchanged.
