You won’t have to wait until July to get Amazon’s best deals this year, as the online retail giant has just changed things up for 2026 by kicking off its Prime Day sale a few weeks earlier than usual.
This morning, Amazon announced its Prime Day 2026 event will be held from June 23–26, with deals across more than 35 categories for Prime members. As usual, sales will start at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET) and run until the same time in the wee hours of June 27.
While Amazon promotes the sale for Prime members, you don’t need to sign up to take part in the sale — although there will undoubtedly be some member-exclusive deals. However, Amazon also still offers a free 30-day trial for new Prime members, so you could sign up just to take full advantage of the Prime Day event and then cancel later.
You also don’t need to wait until June 23 to start shopping. As always, Amazon is already offering early Prime Day deals across the usual categories, from Amazon devices like the Echo Dot Max, Echo Show 11, and Kindle Colorsoft to groceries, brands for small businesses, and books.
We’re also already seeing some healthy discounts for Prime Members on Anker products, such as the Anker Prime 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station, the MagGo 3-in-1 iPhone 17 charging station for 20% off, and 140W MacBook Pro GaN USB-C Charger Block, plus a limited-time deal on the Anker Smart Display iPhone charger.
These are almost certainly just the start. Amazon typically adds new early Prime Day deals almost daily in the lead-up to the main shopping event, along with “Big Deals” that drop three times each day — at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PT — with five or more deals on exclusive products and trending new releases from key brands.
Those looking to get the most out of Amazon Prime Day can sign up for a Prime membership for $14.99 per month or $139 per year after the 30-day free trial ends. Amazon also offers a discounted Prime for Young Adults for 18-to-24-year-olds for only $7.49 per month or $69 per year with a six-month free trial and cash back rewards on eligible deals. Further, online shoppers on government assistance or verified low incomes can get Prime for only $6.99 per month.
Prime Day 2026 takes place in June in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
As for why we’re getting Prime Day in June this year? Well, it turns out Amazon wanted to schedule it around the FIFA World Cup and the 250th anniversary of US independence, according to a statement from Amazon Prime’s international vice president to Reuters, so it’s a safe bet the event will return to its regular July schedule in 2027.
