In Apple TV+ news this week: Ted Lasso’s Brett Goldstein to star alongside Imogen Poots in a new romantic drama called All of You, and the BBC has bought the rights to Apple’s popular comedy series Trying.
All of You
Apple TV+ has released the trailer for All of You, a new romantic drama starring Imogen Poots and Brett Goldstein, who is best known for his portrayal of the gruff but lovable Roy Kent in the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso.
In the film, a pair of friends challenge the notion of a soulmate.
Best friends since college, Simon (Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots) drift apart when she takes a test that finds her soulmate despite years of unspoken feelings between them. Over the years, as their paths cross and diverge, neither can deny the feeling that they’ve missed out on a life together. Faced with the uncertainty of changing the course of their lives, are Simon and Laura willing to risk everything to experience the love that had been between them all along, or should they accept their fate?
All of You takes a close look at the belief that one person can be your everything in a humorous and heart-wrenching romantic drama. The film was co-written by Goldstein and Emmy Award winner William Bridges (best known for Black Mirror), who also directs. The MRC film was produced by Ryder Picture Company’s Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett, and Bridges and Goldstein also produced. The cast also includes Steven Cree, Zawe Ashton, and Jenna Coleman.
All of You will begin streaming on Apple TV+ on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Trying

The BBC has picked up the broadcast and streaming rights to the Apple TV+ show Trying, and plans to begin airing the show through its traditional TV broadcast network and iPlayer streaming service.
BBC viewers outside the United States will be able to watch the first three seasons of the show, starring Rafe Spall and Esther Smith, for free. The first season will be available September 8, 2025.
Apple renewed Trying for a fifth season in May, although a release date has yet to be announced. The BBC holds an option to buy additional seasons of the series, according to Deadline.
While Deadline reports that the deal is the first of its kind for Apple TV+, a similar deal was made in early 2025 for Suspicion. That deal saw ITVX buy the rights for the thriller. However, it should also be noted that Suspicion was a commission from Apple TV+ based on an Israeli show called False Flag, while Apple’s Trying was produced in-house.
Trying is a comedy that follows a couple’s attempts to become pregnant, who eventually decide to adopt a child. The comedy is also the longest-running Apple TV+ sitcom.

All Jason and Nikki want is a baby, but it’s the one thing they just can’t have. So, they decide to adopt. With their dysfunctional friends, screwball family and chaotic lives will the adoption panel think they’re ready to be parents?
The deal makes sense for both the BBC and Apple, as the BBC gains access to new but proven content, while Apple earns additional income from content it has previously distributed, and also exposes that content to new viewers who may decide to try Apple TV+.
Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions, on over 1 billion devices, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, popular smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL, and others, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, and Xbox gaming consoles, and at tv.apple.com, for $12.99 per month with a seven-day free trial. Apple recently hit standalone monthly Apple TV+ subscribers with a price hike, making the $99 annual plan and Apple One bundles an even better value. Customers who purchase and activate a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, or iPod touch can enjoy three months of Apple TV+ for free.
