With the pivotal 2018 U.S. midterm elections just around the corner and political tensions still taut as a rope, Apple hopes to provide news seekers with a robust and trustworthy new platform from which to obtain it. 

Accordingly, the company on Monday announced a new section in its Apple News app focusing specifically on the upcoming U.S. mid-term elections.

Readers can expect to find timely, trustworthy and important information pertaining to the elections, the candidates, breaking news, and wide-ranging analysis put forth by some of the industry’s most trusted sources — curated exclusively by Apple News editors.

“Today more than ever people want information from reliable sources, especially when it comes to making voting decisions,” said Lauren Kern, editor-in-chief of Apple News.
