Have you been eager to get your hands on one of Apple’s late-2016 MacBook Pros but were deterred by their exorbitant price point? Well then, you’ll be thrilled to know that select models have begun filling the shelves over on Cupertino’s official ‘certified refurbished’ online store.

Unfortunately, while the OLED Touch Bar and Touch ID-equipped models are currently unavailable, if you can manage to get by without that feature you’ll stand to save a large sum of money on the Apple’s most powerful 13.3-inch MacBook Pro models ever.

If a 13.3-inch model without an OLED Touch Bar model will work for you, Apple is offering discounts of up to $390 off.

  • You can pick up a refurbished 13.3-inch model in Silver or Space Gray featuring Intel’s latest 2.0 GHz Dual-core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD for as little as $1,269 — a generous 15% savings over the model’s $1,499 MSRP.
  • The same model, in either color, is also available with either a 512 GB SSD OR 16 GB of RAM for $1,439.
  • Other options include the 13.3-inch model with an upgraded, 2.4 GHz Dual-core i7 CPU with 16 GB of RAM, and either a 256 GB or 512 GB SSD for just $1,699 or $1,869, respectively.
  • You can also snag the fully decked-out, 13.3-inch MacBook Pro in Space Gray, complete with Intel’s i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a whopping 1TB Solid State Drive for $2,209.

Two things are worth noting here: first of all, Apple’s inventory of refurbished Macs is somewhat transient, and changes from day-to-day based on volume and availability. This is good news for those who might want to hold out until the Touch Bar-equipped models begin showing up.

Second, when you buy a certified refurbished Mac from Apple, you’re not getting a ‘used’ machine but rather, one that’s been thoroughly cleaned, inside and out, boasting the same luster of a brand-new model.

Also, if you were ever skeptical about throwing money into a refurbished machine, rest assured that you can do so confidently, knowing that your purchase will be backed by Apple’s standard 1-Year warranty — which can even be extended for two more years with the purchase of an AppleCare+ protection plan.

Will you be treating yourself to one of Apple’s most recent, refurbished MacBook Pros?
