A New Siri App

Another huge announcement during the presentation was the introduction of Siri AI. This is a new and smarter Siri that uses AI to provide a more personal experience for you.

If you feel like you’ve heard that before, it’s because you have. Apple basically said the same thing about Siri two years ago at WWDC24.

Still, it seems like Apple will actually follow through on upgrading Siri this time around since, unlike last time, it’s already up and running in the first developer beta.

Apple also confirmed that the improved voice assistant will be joined by a new dedicated Siri app that will basically work much like ChatGPT, letting you ask Siri anything by voice or text with a conversation history to let you find everything you’ve asked before. 

Besides the new app, Siri is also getting all the smart features we’ve heard before, like personal context, on-screen awareness, and the ability to get information or do actions across multiple apps. Basically, everything we’ve ever wanted from Siri.
