Did You Know You Can Add Custom Watch Faces to Your Apple Watch?

Want something different than the somewhat plain watch faces that are bundled by default with your Apple Watch? Are you looking to jazz up your Apple Watch? Then you might want to download and install Facer, a platform for creating watch faces.

Also available for Samsung Wear and Google Wear OS, the Facer platform offers both designer and branded Watch faces. Recently added to the Facer catalog are complication-rich Watch faces from NASA, Star Trek, and Tetris.

With these new faces, you can add weather information, calendar events, sensor data, and more to your watch face.

This is only the beginning for Facer on iOS. The platform promises to deliver new watch faces from partner groups each week.

It also is opening up a beta program that allows users to make their own watch faces.

The program is limited and currently is accepting applications from those who want to participate.

To begin using the new Facer watch faces for the Apple Watch, you need to download the Facer iOS app to your iPhone and add the new watch faces as follows.

1. Open the App Store and install the latest version of the Facer app on your iPhone. Facer is compatible with all Apple Watch models running watchOS 7 and above.
2. Launch Facer on your iPhone and select your Apple Watch in the list of available smartwatches.
3. Browse through the Facer catalog and find the watch face you want.
4. Select the watch face, and tap the blue Sync button to send the watch face to your Apple Watch.

Once syncing is complete, the watch face should automatically show up on your Apple Watch. Using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, you can switch to a new watch face. You also can add or remove watch faces from the available list.
