Immediately after the event, my DMs were flooded with people asking about the latest iPad Pro and if they should buy one now or wait for a new release. Usually, I wouldn’t reply to a question like this, but given the number of people that have asked, I feel like I have to do it.

I want to clarify that people should buy what they need and feel like buying. It doesn’t matter if a particular company plans to release a new version of that device very soon. I know it might be frustrating to buy a product at full price and see how the week after a better product than the one you purchased is in the store for the same price you paid, but that won’t make what you bought an obsolete piece of technology.

I, for example, own a 2018 iPad Pro, and I could not care less about the two other iPad Pros released after mine; I’m happy with it, it works, and it gets the job done. If you need an iPad Pro now, you can buy the one Apple sells. It will perform amazingly well and will last you several years; it won’t just break when the company releases a new one.

This is a very personal decision, and I can’t give a straightforward answer to it – it all depends on your needs, your budget and the time you have to buy one.

If it’s urgent, go for it; the iPad Pro won’t disappoint you and will last many years. But, if you can wait, I recommend you do it.

The Next iPad Pro

  • My sources suggest Apple should announce a redesigned M2 iPad Pro with wireless charging and reverse wireless charging as soon as September of 2022.
  • This feature will be available thanks to a new frosted glass that’s currently being tested, similar to the one found on the iPhone 13 Pro.
  • The 11-inch model would also include a mini–LED display.

This device will be mind-blowing. Apple knows it has to unveil a great iPad Pro to compete with its newly announced iPad Air. The iPad Air offers the same processor as the current iPad Pro for $599. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on an iPad, this is an excellent alternative to the iPad Pro.

If you can wait until late 2022, I suggest you wait, especially if you want to buy the 11-inch model. If you can’t, I recommend buying the iPad Pro or the iPad Air; both will be a great purchase.

Let me know in the comments below if you plan on buying an iPad Pro and if you will wait for a new one to be released. I hope you found this article helpful. As always, I hope you have a fantastic day.
