When it comes to Bluetooth speakers, you have a lot of options. But if you’re looking for something a bit different with some style and nostalgia, look no further than the Lofree QTV speaker.

At first glance, the Lofree QTV doesn’t even look like a Bluetooth speaker. It’s basically a miniaturized version of a vintage cathode ray tube television, with retro vintage alarm clock details thrown in for good measure.

But while its look is all old-school, the Lofree QTV is still a modern 5W Bluetooth speaker with a 75dB S/N ratio and 80Hz to 16KHz frequency response. It features a 40mm full-frequency front speaker and a rear speaker for high-quality music playback that truly feels like it surrounds you, and is beautifully crafted with a 3.5mm Zinc Alloy casing and an enamel outer coating.

And the screen isn’t just for show, either. It’ll display cutesy, retro-style graphics on the front when you’re accessing certain functions — like a turntable when you’re playing music, a flip clock when you’re setting the alarm, or an incandescent light bulb when you’re changing the screen brightness.

The battery, which is charged via Micro USB, lasts through about 5 hours of continuous playback on a single charge. Perfect for a party or summer cookout. It’s also about the size of your palm, so it’s incredibly portable and great for taking with you on-the-go.

Speaking of taking it on-the-go, the speaker features a built-in alarm clock and timer. That’s perfect for weekends camping, or if you need an alarm or timer during a smartphone-less “digital detox.”
