AppleCare One Expands Beyond the US — Here’s Who Should Actually Buy It

AppleCare One, which launched exclusively in the United States last year, is now expanding to the UK, France, Germany, and Australia. The subscription plan covers multiple Apple devices by paying just one monthly fee. The AppleCare One plan starts at US$19.99 per month to cover up to three products, with the option to add more devices for US$5.99 per month for each additional device.

The full details, such as terms, conditions, and pricing, have yet to be posted, but according to details from Apple UK, the program will cost about the same as it does in the US.

Benefits of AppleCare One include:

• Coverage for up to three Apple products
• Theft and Loss Coverage (for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch)
• Unlimited repairs for accidental damage
• Free battery replacement
• Priority access to Apple support

As you might expect, there are limitations, such as AppleCare One users being allowed to only make up to three claims of theft or loss per year. However, there are extra perks as well: accidental damage from handling (ADH) coverage for an iPad can also extend to an associated Apple Pencil or Apple-branded iPad keyboard.

Which Users Best Benefit From AppleCare One

If you have only a single Apple device — say an iPhone or a Mac — you shouldn’t even consider for AppleCare One; it’s overkill and you’ll be paying for benefits you don’t use. Opt for a standard AppleCare+ plan instead.

Originally, AppleCare+ only offered theft and loss coverage for the iPhone, but that same coverage is now available for the iPad and Apple Watch — even on standalone plans.

Pricing for individual AppleCare+ coverage can vary depending on the model of Apple device, but the monthly cost in the US at time of writing is:

• iPhone: from $9.99 to $13.99
• iPad: from $5.49 to $11.49
• Mac: from $3.99 to $17.99
• Apple Watch: from $2.99 to $5.99
• Apple Vision Pro: $19.99

While the pricing above is monthly, annual subscriptions are also available, and provide twelve months of coverage for the price of roughly ten. While AppleCare+ is available to cover Apple’s Studio Displays, Apple TV, HomePod, and AirPods, you must pay annually for the coverage for those products.

If you opt for AppleCare One, you can pay for those items monthly as part of your coverage. Again, these details are all for the US version of AppleCare One, and we won’t know the full details for the non-US version of the plan until the official announcement.

AppleCare One brings huge value to Apple Vision Pro owners. Standard AppleCare+ for the Vision Pro costs $19.99 per month on its own — the exact starting price of AppleCare One. That means you can protect your Vision Pro and effectively score coverage for two additional devices at no extra cost.

Choose Carefully

Be selective about which three of your Apple devices you cover with AppleCare One. In some cases, you’ll be better off opting for AppleCare+ coverage on each individual product instead of going for the group coverage of AppleCare One. Single coverage for iPhones can range from $9.99 to $13.99 per month, depending on the model. Meanwhile, AppleCare+ coverage for the Mac lineup can range from $3.99 for the Mac mini to $17.99 per month for a Mac Pro.

Your Devices Don’t Have to Be New

At one time, AppleCare was available only for a new device, although had 60 days to purchase it.

With AppleCare One, the coverage range is much broader, encompassing Apple devices as much as four years old. The devices need to be in good condition; during online registration, you’ll be asked about any potential damage and need to run remote diagnostics. You may also be asked to take the device to a store to allow it to be visually inspected.

If you already have AppleCare plans in place for your devices, you’ll be able to switch them to AppleCare One. Your existing plans will be cancelled and a new AppleCare One plan will be put in their place.

Apple is expected to publish the details for the UK, France, Germany, and Australia versions of AppleCare One on August 4, 2026.

Also, as noted by Mactrast, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans for the iPad and Apple Watch will also be available in the same new four countries, also on Tuesday, August 4. The plans offer coverage for up to two incidents of theft or loss every twelve months, with each incident subject to a service fee.
