Biggest Retailers That Currently Don’t Accept Apple Pay (But Need to Start).

  • Costco – Not now. Likely coming soon.
  • Ralph’s – Not now. Likely coming soon.
  • CVS Pharmacy – Not now. Likely coming soon.
  • Kroger – Not now. Likely coming soon.
  • Vons – Not now. Likely coming soon.
  • Walmart – Not now. Competes with Walmart Pay. We don’t anticipate Walmart accepting Apple Pay anytime soon.

Please keep in mind this list is not exhaustive. Apple Pay continues to grow and is continuously being deployed in new stores, restaurants, and more, daily.

Apple Pay was introduced Sept 9th, 2014. Like many new product, whether innovative or not, the interest spiked at the very beginning and dipped low right after. Overtime, however, we see that Apple Pay is slowly but surely gaining traction. This is due to three main factors:

1) More merchants accept Apple Pay
2) More devices support Apple Pay
3) More users are using Apple Pay due to more exposure and overall awareness
