We’ve heard plenty of rumors in recent months that Apple’s forthcoming ‘iPhone 7’ and ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ would be featuring, among other, minor enhancements, new camera optics across the board. In terms of the latter of those two devices, as you may already know, we’re highly likely to see Apple’s phablet touch down boasting an all-new dual lens camera system around back; and in the case of the 4.7-inch variant, recent rumors have suggested the device will feature a revamped, considerably larger camera module than the one currently employed by the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

And while all of the above still remains to be seen, of course, we have a bit of new and, needless to say, thought provoking images that have recently surfaced online to share with you today. Of the two images that surfaced earlier this morning, both of which were allegedly captured and uploaded to Twitter by user @the_malignant — one appears to show what looks like a tray of larger, beefed up, single-lens camera units — which could very well end up being the same ones poised to see their debut on the smaller ‘iPhone 7’.

The other image, however, might inherently substantiate that the aforementioned tray of camera modules are, in fact, destined for the ‘iPhone 7’. Uploaded to Twitter at approximately the same time this morning, by the same user, you can see that the photo depicts a tray of cafeteria-style food. And while that, in and of itself, isn’t really pertinent to anything noteworthy; if you take a closer look at the image, you’ll notice that the plates and bowls of half-eaten food are branded with an insignia that reads ‘Foxconn’ — suggesting that perhaps both images were captured at one of Foxconn’s manufacturing facilities.

Foxconn, which is the trade name for TaiPei, China-based Han Hai Precision Co. Ltd., is one of Apple’s primary contractors responsible for manufacturing the company’s iPhone handsets.

Surprisingly enough, the same Tweet also mentioned that production of the ‘iPhone 7’ “has started,” at Foxconn. This revelation falls in line quite nicely with our previous report that production of Apple’s impending iPhone is in fact underway — with production of both the smaller, 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus split between Foxconn and Apple’s other, longtime iPhone manufacturer, Pegatron.

Additionally, another one of our previous reports suggested that a total of 3 ‘iPhone 7’ variants were currently being mass produced by Apple’s suppliers — however, perhaps understandably, we’ll just have to take that rumor with a thirst provoking grain of salt until the wraps are officially taken off Apple’s highly-anticipated ‘iPhone 7’, we’re hoping, within the new few months.

Are you getting excited for the ‘iPhone 7’? Let us know in the comments!
