Apple’s First AR/VR Headset
First, we have a brand new product. Several rumors point out that Apple might be working on a new augmented reality and virtual reality headset that could come out this year.
This new headset is set to be a premium product, so it clearly won’t be for everyone. There have been several rumors about the price for this new headset, with some people even saying that it’ll cost around $3,000. We don’t know exactly what the exact price might be, but it won’t be cheap.
But there’s a reason for that. According to rumors, Apple will add a high-end display on the headset, alongside a built-in processor and touch panels that you can use to control the headset with hand gestures. You’d also be able to control the headset with voice controls, most likely by talking to Siri.
There are also rumors that this new headset will come with its own App Store that’ll feature exclusive apps and games and a “reality operating system” or rOS to help you navigate it.
The new headset is said to release near the end of the year, but it’s possible that it gets pushed back to 2023 if needed.
