Redesigned MacBook Air
It’s been a little over a year since Apple released a new MacBook Air with an Apple Silicon chip inside. However, the company is already working on a newer model. And if you’re looking to upgrade your MacBook, it might be worth the wait.
There are rumors that Apple’s working on a new MacBook Air that’ll be thinner and more powerful than the current versions. Design-wise, the new MacBook Air could lose its singular wedge shape in the chassis. The display could be larger since the bezels on the screen are said to be thinner. And the bezels and keyboard might feature a white color. Speaking of color, it’s possible that Apple will introduce new colors to the MacBook Air similar to the 2021 Mac.
Just like the newer MacBook Pros, the new MacBook Air could feature the newer MagSafe charger, but it’ll also have USB-C ports you can use to charge it.
It’s possible that we’ll see a new Apple Silicon chip in the new MacBook Air, but if that doesn’t happen, we should expect at least a better version of the current M1 chip.
There aren’t any official release dates, but it’s possible that Apple might release the new MacBook Air in the middle of 2022.
