3 Wireless Charging + USB-C
When it comes to wireless charging, Apple has admittedly been behind the game. But that’s due to change this year, as all three 2017 Apple handsets are rumored to be equipped with inductive wireless charging capabilities. That means that the new charging tech won’t be limited to Apple’s “Ferrari” flagship. That fact hints at wireless charging being a standard feature on all new iPhones from 2017 forward.
In addition, the iPhone 8 might be the first Apple device to come with a Lightning-to-USB Type-C cable. While not exactly a confirmed feature, the switch would make sense. USB Type-C shares a port with Thunderbolt, which is the standard used in new MacBook models. Indeed, there are signs of a future where you could connect your iPhone to your notebook without an adapter.
