‘Snapshot’ Highlights a Cavalcade of Apple Celebrities

While Apple TV+ may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s always set itself apart from its rivals by focusing on quality rather than quantity of content. As a result, it’s attracted some pretty big names for its productions. Add Apple Music into the mix, and the number of A-listers across Apple’s services is downright impressive.
Even before Apple TV+ debuted, we were hearing reports of deals with everyone from Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon to Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, and Oprah. When Apple finally unveiled its much-rumored streaming service in March 2019, many of those same folks took the stage to talk about the projects they were bringing to Apple TV.
The list of top talent has only grown since, with Apple teaming up with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese for a film starring Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio, putting Brad Pitt and George Clooney back together for Wolfs, plus a 2025 summer blockbuster starring Pitt as an F1 driver. Then there’s the Tom Hanks collaboration that began with Greyhound, continued with Finch, and is expected to produce another WWII naval flick next year.
In addition to making Aniston and Witherspoon the highest-paid TV starts in Hollywood for The Morning Show, other hit Apple shows have appeared starring Harrison Ford (Shrinking), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), Chris Evans (Defending Jacob), Jason Momoa (See), Octavia Spencer (Truth Be Told), Maya Rudolph (Loot), Kristen Wiig (Palm Royale), Colin Farrell (Sugar), Brie Larson (Lessons in Chemistry), Cate Blanchett (Disclaimer), Natalie Portman (Lady in the Lake ), and, most recently, Seth Rogan in The Studio.
It’s understandable that Apple wants to make sure everyone knows about how many high-profile celebrities it’s featured on its video streaming platform, but it’s also not stopping there. Apple quietly launched ’Snapshot’ today, a page that highlights “the artists, actors, and athletes you love across Apple.”
The page has appeared without much fanfare. It was first reported by Joe Rossignol at MacRumors, who was alerted by “a tipster.” Rossignol confirmed that “snapshot.apple.com” is a new address, but it also feels very much like a work in progress.
As it stands now, the page is very basic. Two rows of celebrities scroll slowly from right to left. Each row appears to have 18 entries (we counted) for 36 people and groups. Since there’s no way to manually scroll or even speed up the presentation, we’ve linked all the individual spotlight pages below.
The list includes Apple Music Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Charli xcx, Drake, Bruce Springsteen, Ariana Grande, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Beyoncé, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, plus groups Coldplay and BTS.
Apple TV+ stars include Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Morgan Freeman, Zendaya, Austin Butler, Maya Rudolph, Jennifer Aniston, Brie Larson, Rashida Jones, Reese Witherspoon, and Vince Vaughn.
Apple rounds out the list with athletes Lionel Messi, Stephen Curry, Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Caitlin Clark, and Shohei Ohtani. Other than Messi, who is also a big part of Apple’s MLS Season Pass, the other athletes appear in documentaries produced for Apple TV+.
Beyond that, there’s no rhyme or reason we can see why Apple chose to highlight these particular celebrities and not others, nor even the order in which they’re presented. In some cases the artists and actors have a wider body of work available on Apple’s services. For example, in addition to several albums on Apple Music, Billie Eilish was the subject of an Apple documentary and has been interviewed in several shows on Apple Podcasts.
Clicking or tapping on any of the tiles will take you to a list of content for that particular person or group, including albums on Apple Music and TV shows or movies available on Apple TV+ and other streaming services accessible through Apple’s TV app, and any podcasts where the person has been interviewed. In Messi’s case, you’ll also get matches and highlights from MLS Season Pass.
Most of those featured have a presence on all three of Apple’s media platforms: Music, TV, and Podcasts, but that’s not universally true. Messi is strictly MLS and MLS-adjacent documentaries, and while Kendrick Lamar was featured in this year’s Apple Music half-time show, his page is devoid of any podcasts.
Apple hasn’t officially announced this new page, and we haven’t been able to find any links to it on Apple’s site. It’s unclear whether Apple plans to expand or improve this page or promote it at some point.
