Apple’s new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4 devices officially became available for preorder at midnight Pacific Time today, Sept. 14. But, as you might expect, it only took about 30 minutes for delivery estimates to start slipping.

Some devices in various color capacities and storage options still show a Sept. 21 arrival for U.S. consumers, while others list an expected arrival date of early October or a shipping date of one to two weeks, and sometimes even later.

Specifically, many iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4 models list the later shipping dates — which currently range from Sept. 28 to Oct. 12. Similarly, most models aren’t unavailable for in-store pickup on launch day, though availability varies on region.

For example, nearly all Apple Watch Series 4 models in stainless steel are showing expected delivery of Oct. 5 to 12 (with just a few exceptions). Available stock of aluminum Apple Watch Series 4 models is also dwindling.

That does mostly apply to the lower-cost GPS models. There are currently more available Cellular + GPS models available than their non-cellular alternatives.

If you’re after a 5.8-inch iPhone XS, you might have better luck. There seems to be much more adequate supply of that device in various storage and color options, as shipping estimates still list a Sept. 21 delivery date pretty much across the board.

On the other hand, SIM-free versions of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are still showing expected arrivals on launch day. Though it’s worth noting that SIM-free handsets aren’t eligible for the iPhone Upgrade Program — in other words, you’ll have to pay the entire cost of the device upfront.

Of course, these shipping estimates were checked at the time of writing. Your mileage may vary depending on when you’re reading this.

If you’re lucky, you might also be able to nab a new iPhone or Apple Watch at a brick-and-mortar Apple Store location on launch day. If you opt for this route, you should expect long lines at many retail locations across the globe, however.

The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4 will officially launch on Sept. 21, when they are expected to hit store shelves and arrive at customers’ doorsteps.
