As expected, Apple completely sold out of its initial iPhone X stock within minutes of the high-end handset going up for pre-order earlier this morning. And while anyone looking order the device online as of 9:30 am PST Friday will have to wait an estimated five to six weeks to get their hands on it — if they’re lucky — those who simply can’t wait that long might still have a chance at scoring an iPhone X at their local Apple Store.

Alternatively, for those with ‘flexible incomes’ who’d rather steer clear of the crowds but still secure their iPhone X as soon as possible, you might find one of the current, outrageously priced offerings on eBay of interest.

That’s right, there are currently a number of iPhone X units for sale on the popular auction-style website — however we must warn you in advance that these deals are not for the faint of heart.

Outrageous iPhone X Deals

Performing a basic eBay search for ‘New iPhone X’ this morning, I was stunned to find that the majority of available units are listed for within the $2,000 to $3,000 range, like this 256 GB “GSM Unlocked” iPhone X in Silver, which is listed for $2,500 (+$25 S&H), or even this more conservatively-priced 256 GB Space Gray model, which can be yours for just $1,975!

Keep in mind, of course, that nearly all of these listings seem to be offered by early-bird iPhone X buyers who likely purchased the device for the sole sake of flipping it for a profit.

Out of sheer curiosity, I then decided to perform a more advanced search using criteria like price, distance, eBay’s ‘Best Match’ feature, and new keyword terms. And to my surprise, a whole new list of iPhone X devices came up. We’re not sure what some of these sellers are thinking, honestly, but we can only hope buyers aren’t desperate enough to pay this much for an iPhone X.

Consider this listing for a 256 GB iPhone X for use on T-Mobile’s network, which can be yours for a whopping $60,000 — err, excuse me, $59,999.. Every penny counts, right?

But wait, there’s more. Others, boldly proclaiming how you can “BE THE FIRST TO HAVE IT!” are offering their iPhone X pre-orders for $30,000.

There are also a surprising number of iPhone X units listed for around $15,000, with some trending downwards towards $8,000 or less which is still just absolutely insane, if you ask us.

Not all of these units will actually sell, of course. So, while it’s interesting to see how “in-demand” Apple’s iPhone devices really are, we assume that most people who truly want one are willing to wait for it.
