It may not be the most prominent gaming subscription service out there, but one of the best things about Apple Arcade is that Apple works hard to keep it fresh with fun and interesting new games each month and updates for current popular titles.

December won’t be an exception, and it looks like Apple wants to get everything out early in the month, before we get distracted by the busyness of the holiday season. This week, Apple announced six new games. One, the Vision Pro-exclusive Glassbreakers, is already available, while the other five are all set to launch on December 4.

As usual, there’s something here for just about everyone: a whimsical kids’ game, a simulator, a roguelite, an endless runner, and a 3D fighting game. Here’s what’s coming.

Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss

Apple released a unique treat for Vision Pro gamers this week: an immersive arena battle game that challenges players to build and lead a squad of Champions with unique abilities to fight in tactical and magical showdowns.

Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss is available now on Apple Arcade — but only on the Vision Pro.

SpongeBob Patty Pursuit 2

In an all-new sequel to the highly acclaimed SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit, SpongeBob SquarePants and Plankton team up to help save Bikini Bottom.

In this Krabby Patty caper, SpongeBob and Plankton must put aside their differences and work together. Their mission: Recover the Krusty Krab’s missing fry cook station, locate Plankton’s mysteriously vanished inventions, and save Bikini Bottom from a devious mastermind whose identity remains just out of reach.

Players can choose to play as either SpongeBob or Plankton and even team up with family or friends in local co-op mode to explore, solve puzzles, and battle bizarre bosses.

You’ll be able to join Plankton in Bikini Bottom in SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit 2 on December 4.

PowerWash Simulator

If you can’t find enough dirt to tackle in the real world, PowerWash Simulator will scratch that itch by letting you blast away virtual dirt on your iPhone screen in what Apple calls a “deeply relaxing and satisfying” experience.

Optimized with touch controls and gyroscope support, players can wash away their worries with the soothing sounds of high-pressure water.

The game will also include access to add-on packs and jobs, including a SpongeBob SquarePants special pack. In keeping with the principles that make Apple Arcade such good value, Apple also promises that more special packs will come later on at no additional cost.

PowerWash Simulator arrives on Apple Arcade for all platforms on December 4.

Cult of the Lamb: Arcade Edition

The popular and offbeat Cult of the Lamb is getting an Arcade Edition that unlocks all of the traditionally paid updates and adds exclusive content on top of that.

Cult of the Lamb casts players in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger, and must repay their debt by building a loyal following in his name. Start your own cult in a land of false prophets, venturing out into diverse and mysterious regions to build a loyal community of woodland Followers and spread your Word to become the one true cult.

Cult of the Lamb: Arcade Edition is coming to Apple Arcade for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro on December 4.

Subway Surfers+

Arcade subscribers will soon be able to enjoy an enhanced, interruption-free version of Subway Surfers, “the world’s most downloaded mobile game,” with Subway Surfers+.

The premium Apple Arcade edition of the endless runner will let you dash through cityscapes without worrying about ads or in-app purchases, since those are all covered by your monthly subscription.

Experience everything that made Subway Surfers a global phenomenon – now in a fresh new format with no ads, and new ways to revive, collect and progress in the game. Whether you’re chasing high scores or just running for fun, Subway Surfers+ delivers the smooth, fast-paced gameplay you love, along with the familiar rhythm of updates and rotating global destinations.

The Arcade version also adds a few new twists to the classic experience, so even long-time fans of the game will find new ways to play. Subway Surfers+ arrives on Apple Arcade for iPhone and iPad on December 4.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+

If 3D competitive action is more your style, then NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+ has you covered. Based on the popular manga and anime series of the same name, the Arcade version features new playable Free Battle mode characters, Zabuza and Haku, increasing the total selection to 27.

There’s also expanded controller support and several improvements that should make the game more accessible to new players, including an auto-save feature, casual control mode selections, and a new battle assist feature.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+ arrives on Apple Arcade on December 4 for the iPad, Mac, and modern iPhone and Apple TV models; the 2020 iPhone SE, Apple TV HD, and first-generation (2017) Apple TV 4K are not supported.

A Major Update for a Fan Favorite: Sneaky Sasquatch

With Apple’s acquisition of RAC7 Games earlier this year, Sneaky Sasquatch now effectively sits in Apple’s own first-party lineup — and Apple is announcing a major update to match:

Sneaky Sasquatch, a top-played game on the service since its debut, recently launched a massive farming town in the game where players can head east to Grandma’s farm, hop on a tractor, and start planting. They’ll be able to grow nine different types of crops for fun and profit – because even sasquatches needs to make a living.

Apple Arcade offers access to a library of over 200 games that can be shared with up to six family members — all without ads, in-app purchases, or other hidden costs. A standalone subscription costs $6.99 per month, or it can be combined with Apple Music, Apple TV, and iCloud+ storage in an Apple One bundle, with plans starting at $19.95/month.
