If you live in Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia or Wisconsin, this weekend might be a great time to pick up a new Apple product.
That’s because residents of those select states will be able to make purchases without any sales tax.
Yes, it’s tax holiday season and Apple is once again highlighting the day as an opportunity to save some money on new devices.
In the five aforementioned states, the tax holiday will kick off on Aug. 3 and run through Aug. 5 — except in Wisconsin, where it will begin on Aug. 1 and last through Aug. 5.
It’s worth noting that none of the following tax holidays apply to smartphones. So you can’t pick up a new iPhone tax-free this weekend.
Missouri
This coming weekend, residents in Missouri will be able to buy computers, iPads and iPod touch devices under $1,500 without any sales tax.
That includes base-level MacBook Pros and other devices.
It’s not just computers and tablets, either. Missourians will also be able to pick up a wide range of computer an digital accessories under $1,500. Software, including both Apple and third-party apps, under $350 also qualify.
Tax-free purchases must be made in the tax holiday period, Aug. 3 to Aug. 5. Only devices purchased by individuals for personal use are eligible.
New Mexico
If you live in New Mexico, you can also make some tax-free purchases on computers, tablets and iPod touch devices under $1,000. While that makes Mac products ineligible, you can pick up most of Apple’s iPad lineup tax-free.
You could also buy accessories under $500 tax-free, including an Apple TV — which qualifies as a “hard drive” accessory in the state — and RAM upgrades.
Tax-free purchases must be made during the tax holiday period.
South Carolina
Unlike other states on this list, South Carolina has no price cap for tax-free purchases on computers, tablets, iPod touches, or other accessories and devices.
That means you can save some serious cash on Apple’s top-tier computers, including its iMac Pro.
Nonrecreational software and books are eligible, too. Computer accessories also qualify, but only when sold with a CPU (basically, alongside a computer).
Tax-free purchases must be made in the tax holiday period, Aug. 3 to Aug. 5. Only devices purchased by individuals for personal use are eligible.
Wisconsin
Those in Wisconsin will be able to make tax-free purchases on computers, iPad models and iPod touch devices under $750. The tax holiday is a bit longer in the state — it kicks off Aug. 1.
Digital accessories are also eligible, but only those under $250. That includes printers and printer supplies, handheld electronic schedulers, computer storage media, and personal digital assistants. While you can’t get a phone, you could nab an Amazon Echo Dot.
Tax-free purchases must be made in the tax holiday period, Aug. 1 to Aug. 5. Only devices purchased by individuals for personal use are eligible.
Virginia
Virginia, unfortunately for its residents, is the most restrictive tax holiday on this list. The state’s tax holiday exemption only applies to products with a sales price of $20 or less.
“Products” is suitably vague, so it likely means anything you can think off.
As far as tech-related gear, Virginias can also pick up cell phone batteries and chargers under $60 with no sales tax. It might be a good time to stock up on power adapters or Qi wireless chargers from Apple.
