Best Buy Cuts $100 Off Price of Apple Watch

Back in August, Best Buy became the first retailer aside from Apple to sell the Apple Watch in store to customers. Originally available in 100 select stores around the US, the Watch is now available in some 300 stores nationwide. After a successful Black Friday sale that included $100 off certain models of the Apple Watch, Best Buy is upping the ante just in time for the holidays with a huge Apple Watch sale.

As of this morning, Best Buy is offering $100 off all models of the Apple Watch, with entry level models priced as low as $249. Although retail giant Target is offering $100 gift cards with the purchase of an Apple Watch, the sale at Best Buy marks the lowest price available on most models of the Apple Watch – lower than online retailers such as Amazon, and the Apple Store itself.

Many online news outlets are speculating that the sale price is due to recent news that Apple will be unveiling the second-generation Apple Watch at an event in March, but it’s entirely possible that Best Buy is using the sale to drive holiday traffic into the store.

The Apple Watch sale at Best Buy will be available until Christmas. However, there are no guarantees that Best Buy’s stock of the most popular models will hold up throughout the sale.
