Apple TV’s 2026 Powerhouse Slate: A New Original Premiering Every Week

Apple hosted select members of the media at a 2026 Apple TV Press Day event on Tuesday where it unveiled several new original TV shows and movies. Several stars also made appearances at the event to promote their new series and movies, including Kurt Russell, Jennifer Garner, Jon Hamm, Keanu Reeves, Anya Taylor-Joy, and James Marsden, among others.

The extensive lineup of shows and films Apple has in store for 2026 includes the promise of new original content debuting each week of the year. Returning favorites include Ted Lasso, The Last Thing He Told Me, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

It’s also not just popular shows making a return. Apple announced a large slate of new originals for its upcoming schedule, including Imperfect Women, starring Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington and Kate Mara; David E. Kelley’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles, starring Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer; and Lucky, a new limited series starring Anya Taylor-Joy of The Queen’s Gambit fame.

Here are the highlights of just a few of the new and returning original series and films.

Eternity

Eternity is a an Apple Original Film, produced in association with A24. The Rotten Tomatoes “Certified Fresh” romantic comedy is about an afterlife where departed souls have one week to decide where they want to spend the rest of eternity. In the film, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is forced to make the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Miles Teller) and the first true love of her life (Callum Turner), who died young and has been waiting decades for her to arrive.

The cast also includes John Early, Olga Merediz and Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

The film was written and directed by David Freyne, and produced by Star Thrower Entertainment. Teller, Olsen and J. Michael Williams all served as executive producers.

Premiere Date: February 13, 2026.

Outcome

Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Jonah Hill star in this dark comedy. The film centers on beloved Hollywood star Reef Hawk (Reeves), who is confronting his inner demons after a mysterious video surfaces that could shatter his public image and destroy his career. Lifelong friends Kyle (Diaz) and Xander (Bomer),  and his “crisis lawyer” Ira (Hill), assist him during his “soul-searching journey to make amends with anyone he could have possibly wronged in hopes of identifying the blackmailer.”

As well as Reeves, Diaz, Hill, and Bomer, the cast includes a large ensemble of players, including Martin Scorsese, Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood Jr., Kaia Gerber, Ivy Wolk and others.

Outcome is from Apple Studios, and was written by Hill and Ezra Woods, and was produced by Matt Dines, Alison Goodwin and Hill, who also directs.

Premiere Date: April 10, 2026.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Apple calls Emmy Award winner David E. Kelley’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles “a bold, heartwarming and comedic family drama.” The series is led by the powerhouse trio of Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nicole Kidman, who also serve as executive producers.

In addition to the main trio, the series features Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty and Lindsey Normington.

A24 produced Margo’s Got Money Troubles for Apple TV, and Kelley serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer alongside Fanning, Pfeiffer, and Kidman, among others. BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Dearbhla Walsh directed the series pilot and also serves as an executive producer.

Premiere Date: April 15, 2026.

Widow’s Bay

Emmy Award winner Matthew Rhys leads the cast of this off-beat horror-comedy series, starring as Tom Loftis, the mayor of “quaint island town” Widow’s Bay off the coast of New England. Loftis is desperately trying to revive the struggling town, as he tries to gain the respect of superstitious local residents, who believe their town is cursed. He attempts to lure tourists to the town, and he succeeds. Unfortunately, it turns out the old wives’ tales may be true, as odd-happening begin to once again occur.

Rhys executive produces and stars alongside Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey.

Premiere Date: April 29, 2026.

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed stars Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson. The half-hour dark comedy series follows a recently divorced mom Paula (Maslany), as she “falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer.” She’s convinced she has witnessed a murder and launches her own investigation, as she also struggles to rebuild her family and life.

The series also stars Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, Dolly De Leon, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hall, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg and Nola Wallace.

Premiere Date: May 20, 2026

Lucky

This new limited series stars Anya Taylor-Joy, who also serves as executive producer. The series is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Marissa Stapley. Taylor-Joy stars as a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago. Unfortunately, she must once again turn to a life of crime in a desperate attempt to escape her past.

This is another series with a notable ensemble cast that includes Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.

Premiere Date: July 15, 2026
