Apple Drops MLS Season Pass to Half-Price

As it has for the past two years, Apple has just officially dropped the price of its MLS Season Pass to $49 for the remainder of the 2025 season, providing an opportunity for fans to jump in at what is effectively a pro-rated price.
With the season effectively half over, it makes sense that anyone subscribing now shouldn’t have to pay the full $99 for the entire run. Since the monthly price is $14.99, it would be more logical for people to opt for a month-to-month subscription at this point if the full price remained unchanged.
The regular MLS season runs from February to October, with playoffs running into November and early December. The MLS Season Pass includes all of those games, right up to the final MLS Cup Championship match. The post-season schedule has yet to be officially announced, but it’s expected to come around the first weekend in December.
The MLS Season Pass provides fans with access to every game streamed in 1080p HD quality, without any regional blackouts, plus support for multiview on Apple TV so you can keep track of up to four games simultaneously. This latest discount is timely, arriving ahead of the 2025 All-Star Game, which is scheduled for July 23, and the 2025 Leagues Cup, which begins on July 29.
MLS Season Pass is a standalone streaming package that’s distinct from Apple TV+, but it’s somewhat bundled, as you can receive a discount if you subscribe to both services. Apple TV+ subscribers get $20 off the full-season pass, which gets similarly cut in half with today’s discount, meaning you’ll pay only $39 for the rest of the season. The monthly price hasn’t changed, but Apple TV+ subscribers pay $12.99 per month instead of $14.99.
Keep in mind that this is a mid-season discount to reflect the calendar’s reality. As with most subscriptions, MLS Season Pass auto-renews, so even if you subscribe now for $49, you’ll be paying the $99 full-season price when the 2026 season comes along in February. You may want to set a reminder to cancel it before then.
Apple regularly discounts MLS Season Pass subscriptions as the season unfolds. In May, it knocked 30% off the full-season price, and last September, it offered the rest of the 2024 season free for Apple TV+ subscribers and at $9.99 for everyone else. So, if you’re primarily interested in the finals, you may want to wait a few more months and see what Apple comes up with.
In addition to access to all games, MLS Season Pass also includes the MLS 360 whip-around show, offering live look-ins, highlights, and expert commentary across all matches during busy game nights, as well as full coverage of the Leagues Cup, MLS All-Star Game, and select MLS Next and MLS Next Pro matches.
However, Apple also offers a taste of the MLS experience for Apple TV+ subscribers who do not have an MLS Season Pass subscription. This includes a highlighted Sunday Night Soccer matchup each week, the MLS Countdown and MLS Wrap-Up highlight shows, as well as occasional special events such as the MLS All-Star Game or select Leagues Cup and playoff matches.
