8 Products Apple Might Still Launch This Year

When it comes to new products, Apple isn’t nowhere near done this year. Even though we’re still just a few months away from the end of 2024, Apple still has a few products under its sleeve.
According to many rumors, Apple is planning on releasing quite a few new upgrades for its older products. Of course, we’re already expecting a handful of products from Apple. For instance, it’s almost a given that we’ll see a new set of iPhones sometime in September, alongside at least a new Apple Watch.
Still, there are some products that Apple might launch this year that many of us might not even be expecting. So get your wallet ready because Apple might still launch some or all of these products in 2024.
The New iPhone 16 Lineup
Every year, a new iPhone comes out, and this year shouldn’t be any different. Apple is already getting ready to launch the new iPhone 16 lineup, and if you haven’t upgraded in a while, this might be the year to do so.
There are many rumors about the new iPhone 16 models. For starters, Apple is said to bring a brand new A18 chip, which will make all iPhone models capable of supporting the new Apple Intelligence Apple will release later this year.
On the outside, the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro models should look very similar to their predecessors. However, Apple might increase the size of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch respectively.
Also, remember the Action button, which is exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models? Well, Apple plans to add an Action button to all iPhone 16 models this year, but that’s not all. Alongside the Action button, there are rumors that Apple will add a new Capture button, which will make it easier to take pictures or record videos with your iPhone in landscape mode.
Additionally, almost all iPhone models will get a battery increase of up to almost 10%, which will be a nice addition. What’s more, Apple might finally make the iPhone 16 Pro models capable of 40W wired fast charging and up to 20W MagSafe charging, which will be a huge upgrade from the current 27W wired charging and 15W MagSafe charging speeds the iPhone 15 Pro models support.
Apple Watch Series 10
Just like the iPhone, Apple is expected to launch a brand new Apple Watch this year, as it’s done every year for the decade.
What’s special about this year’s Apple Watch is that it marks the tenth anniversary of the Apple Watch. Because of this, many people are expecting this year’s Apple Watch to be a big one.
For instance, according to some rumors, Apple might not call it the Series 10 this year. Instead, the company might go for something like the Apple Watch X. But don’t worry, that’s not everything Apple has in mind.
Rumor has it that the Apple Watch X will get a major redesigned this year. It will also be a thinner Apple Watch compared to the previous models.
And the biggest rumor is that Apple will ditch the usual band attachment we already know and instead it will introduced a magnetic attachment band. This change will make it easier to switch bands, and it will also give the Apple Watch some extra room inside that Apple could use to add a new feature or have a larger battery.
There are also some new health features that might be added, including a blood pressure sensor and a way to detect sleep apnea.
A New Apple Watch Ultra
Even though the Apple Watch Ultra hasn’t been around for long, it seems Apple wants to upgrade its premium smart watch yearly, just like the regular Apple Watch.
Unfortunately, for Apple Watch Ultra fans, there aren’t many rumors about the 3rd generation Apple Watch Ultra, which leads to two possibilities.
One is that Apple might chose to skip the Apple Watch Ultra this year to give the complete spotlight to its ten-anniversary Apple Watch.
Or, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will simply be a minor update. While this is the most likely scenario, this means that we shouldn’t expect any major design changes to the current look of the 2nd generation Apple Watch Ultra, which already looks pretty similar to the 1st generation Apple Watch Ultra.
The good news would be that Apple would add the new heart-pressure and sleep apnea health features that have been rumored.
AirPods 4
It’s been more than a couple of years since Apple upgraded the base AirPods. While some people might not think that the AirPods need an upgrade so soon, Apple seems to be getting ready to launch the fourth generation AirPods, which might launch alongside the iPhone 16 and the Apple Watch models.
And what will be so special about these new AirPods. Well, for starters, rumors say that this year Apple will introduced not one but two different AirPods models.
One of them will be a more affordable model, and there will be a second model that features Active Noise Cancellation, just like the AirPods Pro.
This will be the biggest change between the two models and the biggest new feature added to the AirPods 4. However, we’re also expecting Apple to give them a slightly new design, with a shorter stem on both models.
Moreover, Apple will also improve the charging case on both AirPods 4 models. The new charging case is said to have better USB-C charging and a speaker, so it’s easier to locate using the Find My app.
AirPods Max 2
Just like the base AirPods, Apple is also planning on upgrading their most expensive AirPods, the AirPods Max. And while there may not be many rumors about these AirPods, we are expecting Apple to launch a new upgrade during the fall.
The biggest change rumored is that Apple will switch the Lightning charging port to a USB-C port, just like it’s done with the other AirPods models.
While there aren’t many rumors confirming this, it’s expected that Apple will also add all the new features that the new AirPods Pro 2 have. For instance, we’re expecting the AirPods Max 2 to feature Adaptive Audio, Personalized Volume, and Conversation Awareness.
As we mentioned, the AirPods Max could potentially be released during the fall, but it’s also likely that Apple will wait until next year to launch them. We’ll just have to wait and see.
A New iMac
A new iMac is rumored to be in the works, and Apple might launch it before the end of this year.
The biggest change for the iMac will be on the inside. More specifically, we’re expecting Apple to feature the new M4 chip inside the new iMac models to make them more powerful. Moreover, there have been rumors that Apple will add more core to the Mac’s Neural Engine.
The new iMac should look similar to the current design on the outside. This means we’ll see the same thin display with a 24-inch display at the front. We’re also expecting Apple to feature more color options for the new iMac.
Like the other Macs on the list, the iMac is expected to be released near the end of 2024, but it’s also possible that Apple will wait to launch the new iMac until 2025.
New MacBook Pros
Apple is also planning on upgrading all of its MacBook Pros this year. With that said, don’t expect a big update this time around.
Rumors suggest that, just like in previous years, Apple will most likely focus on the Macs’ processors. This time, Apple is rumored to upgrade all the MacBook Pros to the M4 chip.
More specifically, the base 14-inch MacBook Pro will get the regular M4 chip. On the other hand, the higher-end 14-inch MacBook Pro should feature the M4 chip, while the highest-end 16-inch MacBook Pro will feature the M4 Max chips.
Besides that, we don’t expect any huge changes in the design or other components. As we previously mentioned, these MacBook Pro upgrades should come near the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
M4 Mac mini Models
The Mac mini is another Mac that’s due for an update, and Apple is probably working on it as we speak. Rumor has it that we might see a brand-new Mac mini before the end of the year.
Just like the other Macs on the list, Apple is rumored to only focus on upgrading the Mac mini’s chip. This means the new Mac mini will jump from the M2 chip that currently has to the M4 processor.
Just like the current Mac mini models, We expect Apple to feature two different M4 models: open with the base M4 processor, and another one with the M4 Pro chip.
The new Mac minis are set to launch alongside the new MacBook Pros, which should be some time near the end of the year. Of course, as we mentioned before, this might also happen in the early in 2025.
Apple Is Not Done Just Yet
Apple still has a lot of products that it can potentially launch in 2024. Sure, we’re all expecting a new iPhone and Apple Watch to launch in September, but Apple has more in store.
The products on this list are just the tip of the iceberg. In 2025, Apple still has a bunch of products it could launch, including a new Mac Pro, an Apple TV upgrade, and maybe even a foldable device.
Of course, at this point, this is mostly speculation. So we’ll have to wait and see how Apple surprises us next.
