Will We See New AirPods During the Keynote?
A lot of people are expecting Apple to launch a new pair of AirPods during this year’s presentation.
What we’re most likely to see instead is the introduction of a new charging case. You read that right; Apple is expected to release a new USB-C charging case for the AirPods Pro 2. Sure, it won’t be ground-breaking news, but it’ll be a nice addition for people who love USB-C.
There’s also a small chance AirPods 4 could arrive with USB-C and an H2 chip to support the new iOS 17 features, but Bloomberg’s Gurman more recently suggested that might not happen until sometime next year, along with bringing USB-C to the AirPods Max.
Some rumors also indicate that Apple is working on a more affordable pair of AirPods, supposedly called AirPods Lite. These could be introduced at the event, but we haven’t heard much about them lately, so it doesn’t seem likely.
