Amazon has an incredible deal on Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Air. If you act fast, you might be able to grab one with delivery before Christmas. It’s the base model, but it’s likely to satisfy you or anyone else on your gift list. This year’s new Sky Blue color is out of stock, and silver is, too. The colors Midnight (black) and Starlight (gold) are still available as of this writing.
The price is $750 before tax and without Apple Care+. All color options are available on Apple’s website, and they’re all $999. You can purchase Apple Care+ on Amazon, but don’t worry if you forget, as you also have up to 60 days to add it after you’ve received your new MacBook.
Last year’s M3 MacBook Air started at $1,099. Apple surprised us when they released the new 13-inch M4-powered MacBook Air for $999 in March this year at the height of the tariff frenzy.
For $100 less, Apple gave users faster, more sustained performance, better battery efficiency, a starting point of 16 GB of RAM (up from the base M3’s 8 GB), a front-facing camera with Center Stage, and the ability to connect two external displays — with the lid open — instead of one.
The 2025 MacBook Air is a strong value at the $999 price point. Its under-the-hood improvements provide future-proofing for casual users and the capabilities for more demanding users. At $750, it deserves your consideration if you’re in the market for a new laptop. While you’re at it, the M4 MacBook Air 15-inch model is also available at a bargain!
Even if you qualify for Apple’s education discount, this current deal on Amazon will save you nearly $150 more. The Apple Store for Education is relatively limited in its eligibility requirements for young students. Special pricing is reserved for employees of public or private K-12 institutions (including homeschool teachers) as well as current serving school board, PTA, or PTO executives. The program’s benefits extend much more broadly to higher education. Higher education faculty, staff, and attending or accepted students (and their parents) all qualify. If you think you can game the program, Apple requires proof of eligibility, and there are limits to yearly purchase quantities.
There’s no telling how long this deal will last, so check it out while you can. The 13-inch M4 MacBook Air’s base model comes equipped with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD storage. Storage and RAM upgrades are also available on Amazon with similar savings, but colors, availability, and delivery times will vary. If you want to step up to the 15-inch screen size, it’s currently available for $999 on Amazon compared to $1,199 from Apple.
