Even more fortunately, though, iDrop decided to comb through the App Store and select five of the highest-rated, user acclaimed games and party Apps that are sure to make your New Years celebration a sensation for all.

Reverse Charades by Good Knight Games, LLC

Charades has been a staple of get-togethers and group events for years now, however this fun app puts a whole new spin on the concept of guessing another person’s actions.

A group of people act out the clue as a collective, while a single person on the other team makes the guess. The fun factor in Reverse Charades is that you get more complex clues that actually depend on teamwork, as opposed to a single-person’s effort. It’s available to download here for free.

Just Say It! by AlterMind Sp. z o.o.

Ever played the game Taboo? Well, similar to Charades, it was a rather popular title back in the 90s, so maybe, maybe not. However, “Just Say It!” brings the game into the 21st century.

Teams are formed and one person is selected to monitor the clue being acted out or verbally hinted by the quote unquote, ’Clue Giver’. Featuring a built in timer, scorekeeping, and buttons to pass to another card, if necessary due to a slip of the tongue, this App is both quick to set-up, and you and your party guests can be playing in no time. It can be downloaded for free here.

FatBooth by PiVi & Co.

If you have an iOS device, then you’ve probably heard of or used Apple’s built in PhotoBooth app. And ‘FatBooth’ is essentially the same concept, only photos are taken and render images of you and your guests looking as if you’re hundreds of pounds heavier than you actually are in reality. It’s not a game, obviously, but rather just a fun and funny way to pass some time, perhaps after having a few drinks with your party guests. It can be downloaded here for free.

Would You Choose? by ALL CAPS APPS, LLC.

This game is both fun and engaging and, while it’s not necessarily competitive in nature, the fun can go on for as long as you choose, and it’s definitely a good icebreaker. Similar to the “would you rather” game that I’m pretty sure we all played as kids, this title allows you to choose the category from which the question is given — ranging from gross to thought-provoking, ensuring a fun and humorous time for your party guests. It can be downloaded here for free.

Heads Up! by Warner Bros.

Featured on Ellen DeGeneres’ show multiple times in the past, Heads Up! is another party favorite that’s sure to provide hours of fun and laughter for all. The objective is to get your teammate to correctly guess what’s on the card without saying the name or rhyming with it. The game includes 7 decks of cards, however additional packs are available to purchase within the App. It can be downloaded here for just 99 cents.

There are plenty of other apps available in the app store that are sure to add a touch of fun and humor to your Holiday party; these are just a few of our recommendations for you and your guests, poised to provide hours of wholesome, group-oriented entertainment.
