When you’re an iPhone user, you probably never really think of other alternatives for Apple’s apps. After all, why would you use Google Photos when you have the Photos app and iCloud storage?

Well, because Google Photos is a great alternative to both services. Once you install the app and set it up, you’ll be able to upload all your favorite pictures to the cloud without spending a lot of money.

While iCloud does give you 5GB of storage for free, you also need to use it for things like your iPhone backup and other apps that use iCloud. If you have more than a few pictures, 5GB likely won’t be enough.

On the other hand, Google Photos offers up to 15GB of cloud storage for free, and you can use all of it for your favorite photos and videos.

The best part about Google services is how easy it is to access them from any device. Even if you switch from iPhone to Android, you’ll have access to all your photos in the cloud almost immediately.
