From time to time, Apple partners with retailers to offer unique discounts as a way of promoting Apple Pay. For this year’s holiday shopping season, Mattel is offering a deal that might help Santa along.

From now until Sunday, December 14, Mattel is offering a 30% discount on select items from its online store when you use the promo “APPLEPAY” and check out using Apple Pay.

This Limited-Time Microsoft Office Deal Gets You Lifetime Access for Just $39

Sick and tired of subscriptions? Get a lifetime license for Microsoft Office Home and Business 2021 at a great price!

While not every item is eligible for the promotion, the list of items is pretty extensive, with over 600 “collectibles” on deck, including Hot Wheels, Barbie, Little People, Monster High, Matchbox, Masters of the Universe, and more.

It’s worth noting that this sale is from the Mattel Creations portal, which is quite a bit different from the standard toy aisle you’ll find at your local Target. While there are plenty of standard toys for children, this storefront leans heavily into the “kidult” and collector market — and the promo is specifically listed as providing 30% off collectibles.

That means you’ll find some higher-end products here that rarely see price drops. This includes premium Hot Wheels collector sets, complex MEGA building kits featuring Tesla Cybertrucks and a Pokémon Magikarp, plus Barbie signature dolls that usually retail for $50 or more. It’s a great deal for the collector on your shopping list who prefers display pieces over playthings.

The offer is valid with any payment method used by Apple Pay that’s also accepted by Mattel, which includes Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards and debit cards, so you can use whatever works best for your holiday budget.

Here’s the relevant fine print from Mattel’s website:

30% off your purchase of items with Apple Pay is valid from December 8, 2025, at 6 a.m. PT to December 14, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. PT. Eligible on purchases made using Apple Pay and using promo code APPLEPAY at checkout at https://creations.mattel.com/collections/apple-pay-promo. Exclusions apply. Offer excludes Mattel Creations Memberships, shipping & handling, gift cards, and applicable taxes. Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion (excluding shipping promotions).

The deal excludes shipping costs, but Mattel is also offering free standard shipping on all US orders over $35.

This 30% off deal is one of the better Apple Pay promos we’ve seen, although it’s obviously only relevant to those who are in the market for Mattel toys. Still, it’s certainly the right season for it. Other Apple Pay promotions we’ve seen in the past include up to 20% off Nike and Adidas shoes and Crocs, $5 off movie tickets on Fandango, and 20% off digital orders from Panera Bread, to name a few. Apple typically partners with retailers to run these during peak seasons like the holidays, back-to-school, or timed to align with Amazon Prime Days.

Unlike the Apple Card, these aren’t cash back offers, but rather instant discounts that are applied as soon as you hit the “Apple Pay” button at checkout. Of course, if you use your Apple Card, you’ll also get 2% Daily Cash, like you would at any other normal retailer; Mattel isn’t on the list of retailers that provide extra cash back for the Apple Card, and the same applies to any other rewards card you use with Apple Pay for this promotion, so you might be able to get better rewards by using a different card in your Apple Wallet.
