If you’re a customer with any one of the big four wireless carriers in the US and have regrets or concerns about your replacement Note 7, you can now easily jump ship and switch to another smartphone, including, say, an iPhone 7.

Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint are allowing customers with replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7s to swap them out for smartphones of different models and manufacturers, as Samsung scrambles to confirm that its replacement Note 7s are indeed safe.

The decision follows news that a new Note 7 caught fire and began emitting “thick grey-green angry smoke,” forcing a Southwest Airlines flight to evacuate. The phone came in a box marked with the black square symbol indicating that it was a replacement model and had been deemed to be unaffected by the recall. The phone’s owner said that he had followed the flight crew’s request and powered down his phone before it began smoking.

Thankfully, no one was injured, but the incident has prompted the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to open an investigation. Samsung is conducting an independent investigation into the matter as well.

All four carriers continue to sell the Note 7 and are also still allowing owners of the original Note 7 to get refunds or credit towards another device.

A representative from Sprint has informed Recode that the company “is working collaboratively with Samsung to better understand the most recent concerns regarding replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones.”
