As the impending launch of Apple’s highly-anticipated ‘iPhone 7’ draws closer and closer by the day, we’re beginning to see a lot more information pertaining to the forthcoming device(s) surface online — at least, so far as leaked images, color options, concept renderings, and additional specifications continue to surface left and right.
And now, so it appears, we might be getting our first actual look at Apple’s forthcoming flagships — in all their rawness, minimalist-inspired goodness, and aluminum-shelled glory.
The images, which are coming to us this morning courtesy of popular Chinese social media blog, Weibo, appear to show us not only one, but three ‘iPhone 7’ models that could be seeing their way onto the smartphone market later on this fall. In particular, the images show us the external back and front-side of the supposed devices.
Despite all three iPhone handsets boasting an “s” insignia emboldened on the back panel, what’s perhaps most interesting of all is that there ostensibly appears to be a total of three ‘iPhone 7’ variants pictured here.
While we know with near certainty that Apple will be releasing the ‘iPhone 7’ in both 4.7- and 5.5-inch variants, there has similarly been talk in recent months about an ‘iPhone 7 Pro’ — a handset surpassing even the highest spec’d out ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ — making its debut this fall.
There’s not much that we know in terms of what constitutes this ‘Pro’ device as being classified a ‘Pro’, however, it is likely believed that the inclusion of that super-sweet dual-lens camera and Apple’s proprietary Smart Connector, perhaps among other things, are the defining factors.
Additionally, even though the presence of this ‘iPhone 7 Pro’ has been well documented as a possible “next evolution” in the iPhone line, it seems unjust to some die-hard Apple fans that the company would stray from its typical “#/# Plus” device releases of recent years.
Of course, what’s sure to fuel speculation that these images are not so kosher is that questionable occurrence of the “s” insignia. As most of us know, Apple released the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus just last year — and therefore, it’s just not the year for the ‘s-model’ devices, right?
In any case, it certainly won’t be long until we find out the truth. Apple is slated to take the wraps off its ‘iPhone 7’ family at a yet-to-be-announced special media event this September, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
What do you think about these images? Are they showing us the iPhone as many of us are expecting to see it this fall? Let us know in the comments!
