It Still Features a Port
It’s funny how fast rumors spread these days. We didn’t have to wait until the release of the iPhone 12 to start hearing about leaks and rumors for Apple’s iPhone 13. Most of the leaks and rumors are still yet to be determined if they’re factual or not, but the one that might actually be true is that the next iPhone will be totally portless, or at least one of them. That’s right, Apple may prefer making an iPhone without any ports before using USB-C.
Several sources are saying that at least one of the next iPhone models won’t have a Lightning connector, which indicates that Apple might be considering getting rid of it in all of the iPhones that come in the next few years. You think that’s crazy? I bet that’s how people felt when they heard about Apple ditching the headphone jack. But it did happen.
And with the introduction of MagSafe, it feels as though Apple is preparing us for another drastic change. Instead of dealing with that right now, you can get an iPhone that does both things. The iPhone 12 can charge with MagSafe, but you can still charge it with a Lightning cable.
