Six Apple Products Coming in 2023 (Get Excited!)
Every year, Apple launches a series of new products. Some will be major hits that resonate with the large userbase and some will be just the next thing. It appears that expectations are higher with every new season of releases.
As every year for the past decade, we track several new rumors and leaks of products that the Cupertino behemoth will be likely announcing soon.
Fortunately, 2023 is no different. We already have many rumors about projects Apple might be working on. Some of them are definitely coming out in 2023, while some others might be delayed until 2024.
Get excited! Here are six Apple products we might see in 2023.
The iPhone 15 Lineup
It's almost a given at this point that Apple is going to launch a brand-new iPhone in 2023.
And unless Apple switches its formula, we're expecting to see the iPhone 15 lineup.
There are already a bunch of rumors about what the iPhone 15 will bring to the table. For starters, rumor has it that the iPhone 15 will feature the Dynamic Island across all its devices. Currently, only the iPhone 14 Pro models come with a Dynamic Island, but it seems that'll change soon.
And how soon are we talking about? Again, unless Apple changes its formula, we should expect to see the iPhone 15 during the fall. To be more specific, around September or October
.
Besides the Dynamic Island, Apple might also change the iPhone 15 Pro Max and turn it into an "iPhone 15 Ultra" to make it stand out from the other models. This model, just like the iPhone 15 Pro, would feature an A17 Bionic chip and, for the first time ever, a USB-C port.
That's right; rumor has it that Apple will feature a USB-C port for the first time in the iPhone 15. Of course, that's just a rumor, so we'll need to see if the company actually makes the switch.
The First Apple Silicon Mac Pro
The Mac Pro used to be Apple's most powerful and expensive computer yet. Now, thanks to the Apple Silicon chips, the MacBook Pros, and the Mac Studio are actually almost as powerful as the older Intel-based Mac Pro.
However, that may soon change. Apple is said to be working on a brand-new Mac Pro. This would be the first Apple Silicon Mac Pro and would probably feature the M2 chips. Moreover, rumors say that the powerful machine would also feature at least 192 GB of RAM and a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU.
Needless to say, the premium price will remain as high as right now—if not higher. While we don't have a specific date for this computer, rumors say we might see it somewhere around the spring of 2023.
Apple Watch Series 9
Just like the iPhone, Apple has constantly released a brand new Apple Watch since its inception in 2015. And it seems 2023 won't be an exception.
Unfortunately for Apple Watch lovers, it seems this year will be a small update for Apple's wearable.
As of right now, there aren't any huge announcements about what the Apple Watch Series 9 will feature, so we might only see a few design changes and upgrade to the Watch's internals.
There have been rumors saying that Apple is working on a blood glucose sensor for the Apple Watch, but it seems that won't happen in 2023.
We're expecting Apple to release the Apple Watch Series 9 during the fall, alongside the iPhone 15.
New MacBook Air
The MacBook Air is one of Apple's most popular computers and with good reason.
The smaller, lighter, least expensive laptop has everything you need to work and play hard on the go, which is why there are rumors that Apple is working on a brand-new model.
There aren't many rumors about the internals of this computer, which makes it possible that Apple would use the same M2 chip the current model has.
With that said Apple might make the MacBook Air bigger this time around. Instead of a 13-inch screen, Apple would make the first-ever 15-inch MacBook Air.
With such a big change to the screen, it would make sense that Apple would wait one or two years to add an M3 chip—or whatever name the company plans on using.
There isn't an exact release date for the 15-inch MacBook Air, but some rumors point out that Apple might release it in the second quarter of 2023.
The iPad mini To See a Refresh
The iPad mini is already a powerful device that doesn't really need a refresh. However, Apple doesn't think the same way, apparently.
Rumors say that Apple is already working on a small refresh for the iPad mini. The refresh is so small there aren't many rumors about this iPad yet. However, we do know that Apple may release it sometime during 2023.
With that said, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Some rumors also point out that Apple might change its mind and release it in the first quarter of 2024.
Apple's First Virtual Reality Headset
Rumor has it that Apple is working on some crazy new products, including a new type of virtual reality and augmented reality headset.
This headset is said to be a premium device that'll focus on media consumption, like YouTube videos and streaming services, and virtual reality gaming.
When we say this will be a premium device, we mean it. A few months ago, people speculated that this headset would cost around $2,000. Now, however, we're expecting to see a $3,000 price tag on this new device.
This VR and AR headset is said to feature multiple micro-OLED screens with 4K resolution. Additionally, it'll also come with its own operating system that's rumored to be called xrOS and its very own App Store.
The coolest part is that this headset might be closer than we imagine. Some rumors say we might even see it in this year's WWDC, which will start on June 5, 2023.
What are you most excited about?
Even though 2023 might not feature a lot of new devices from the Cupertino company, the new tech we might see this year will probably change the way we consume content.
Whether it's the new iPhone 15 or the brand-new virtual reality headset, there is a lot of new tech to be excited about.
