Will the iPhone 14 Have Face ID or Touch ID?
As you probably already know, the iPhone’s notch isn’t there just to look pretty (because it doesn’t). Instead, the notch hides cameras, sensors, and other types of technology needed to use Face ID. So if Apple gets rid of the notch, what will happen to Face ID?
Well, some rumors say that Apple will go back to Touch ID. But instead of using the power button like on the iPad Air and iPad mini, Apple will use an under-display fingerprint sensor for the first time ever.
And even though that might be awesome, it probably won’t happen this year. Kuo reported that Apple had development problems that might force the company to delay the under-display Touch ID until 2023.
Hopefully, Apple will sort these problems out, but we won’t know for sure until we hear other reports—or watch Apple’s iPhone event.
