With iOS 13.6 being released to the masses today, it’s not surprising to see an update for watchOS as well. After updating your Apple Watch, you’ll see a few improvements in version 6.2.8.

Car Key is now available in watchOS, however, the feature is still only compatible with select, new automobiles. Also, at this time, the Car Key function is only compatible with Series 5 Apple Watches, which have specific hardware and coding required for such an interface.

The patch also includes the functionality for the ECG app and irregular heart rhythm notifications in Bahrain, Brazil and South Africa.

In order to get 6.2.8, users will need to be updated to the latest version of iOS (13.6).

  1. To update, watch owners should open the Watch app on their iPhone.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Then tap Software Update.
