A New Mac Pro Was Supposed to Be Announced

Apple’s been on an ongoing quest to switch from Intel processors to its very own Apple Silicon chips, and it’s done a pretty amazing job thus far. However, it seems the company will leave the Mac Pro for last.

Instead of a new Mac Pro, Apple surprised us with an entirely new Mac, the Mac Studio. At first, this Mac looks like a Mac mini, but it’s so much more powerful than that. It also features Apple’s new M1 Ultra chip, which makes it 50% faster than the Mac Pro.

To be fair, Apple did mention the Mac Pro, but it confirmed that it’s going to be a story for another time, so we’ll have to wait to see what comes next. Let’s just hope the newPro Display XDR comes with a stand this time around.
