Better Zoom, Bigger Lenses, Cinematic Mode
The biggest change between the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 is in the cameras. No, Apple didn’t just change the location of the lenses. There are also significant improvements that will let you take better, brighter pictures.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini feature the biggest sensors Apple’s used on a dual-camera iPhone. This will let the new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini take pictures with up to 47% more light. Additionally, the Ultra Wide lens will also capture more details even in darker situations.
Both models now come with sensor-shift optical image stabilization, a feature that was exclusive to the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year. The iPhone 13 Pro models also now come with a bigger main sensor that will let them take better low-light pictures.
The aperture on the iPhone 13 Pro’s ultra-wide lens also increased, from f/2.4 the iPhone 12 had to f/1.8, which will also take brighter and more detailed pictures even in low light.
Finally, both Pro models also have 3x optical zoom, which is better than the 2.5x that the iPhone 12 Pro models have. And we couldn’t forget Cinematic mode.
