Make Your iPad Read for You
Granted, this isn’t an iPad-exclusive feature, but if you use your iPad primarily for reading or browsing the web, it can help you in so many ways!
You can have your iPad read a chunk of text for you, whether it’s from a website or another app. It’s a time-saver and it’s really helpful if you don’t want to pay extra for an audiobook or your hands are full. But first, you need to enable it.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on Accessibility.
- Select Spoken Content.
- Enable Speak Selection and Speak Screen.
You’ll use Speak Selection when you just want your iPad to read any given text, and you use Speak Screen to make your iPad read all the text the app is showing. You’ll do this by swiping two fingers down from the top of your iPad’s screen.
