A USB-C Port Is Coming (Finally)
At this point, it seems like USB-C and iPhone shouldn’t go in the same sentence, but it seems that’ll change with the iPhone 15 Pro lineup (hopefully).
Ming-Chi Kuo also claims that this year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a USB-C port, which will be at least USB-C 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3.
Meaning you’ll be able to transfer files faster than before when you connect your iPhone to any other device. Not to mention that adding a USB-C port will definitely make the iPhone 15 Pro lineup stand out and actually make it feel “Pro.”
Of course, this isn’t Apple being nice. Ever since last year, the European Union decided to force USB-C on the iPhone and pretty much any other rechargeable device that isn’t using it already.
With that said, Apple still has until 2024 before it’s forced to comply with this law. Plus, Apple could bypass this law by making the iPhone completely wireless, so we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens.
