You Can Now Lock or Hide Apps

Not everyone likes sharing what apps or games they like. If you share your iPhone with friends and family, you’re probably afraid they’ll open an app they shouldn’t.

Luckily, iOS 18 is finally fixing this problem; you’ll soon be able to lock or hide your apps.

This feature will work as you would expect: You select the app you want and choose to lock or hide it. Then, you’ll use Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to access the app. There will also be a Hidden Apps folder in your App Library to help you find all your hidden apps, but their icons will be blurred out so nobody can see what they are.
